Fall Thrift/Vintage Haul

My current obsession when it comes to a bit of retail therapy is thrifting, the thrill of finding a bargain and the possibility of finding some actual vintage pieces motivates me to chose charity shops over the high street. However I have never always had this opinion, there was a time I would never step foot in a secondhand shop and the idea seemed alien to me. This all changed when I discovered a YouTube duo who turned thrift finds into high fashion pieces, shout out to "Thrifters Anonymous"  for being my thrifting inspirations! From the moment I found a brand new Karen Millen skirt for £3, I have not looked back!

Getting into the actual haul, I had a free afternoon after a lecture so I decided to go explore the Nottingham thrift stores and see what gems I could find. Nottingham's retail scene did not let me down. I found numerous thrift stores such as the "White Rose" which are set up as vintage fashion boutiques but offer clothes at reasonable prices. They are all located within walking distances of each other and all have their unique quirks! I only picked up 3 things however I had so much fun exploring the city!

Firstly, I picked up this gorgeous wool printed skirt! I find navy really compliments my skin tone and this pattern is very stylish for Fall. I adore the thickness of the skirt and the fit, styled with a black turtle neck and boots this would look very chic! Even better is that it was only £3!

This is probably my most favourite find! An actual 1980's vintage skort! If you have been following my blog for a while you will know how obsessed I am with skirts/skorts so when I found this beautiful piece I just had to have it. It will be sitting in my wardrobe until spring but I could not leave this there for £3!

Lastly I picked up this beautiful vintage inspired dress for only £5! This was from an actual vintage boutique however all the prices are affordable. I fell in love with the print and shape of this dress. The cinched in waist makes the dress appear more fitted and an effortless look can be created with a belt!

Hope you enjoyed some of the items I picked out! What are your favourite thrift finds?
