Thrifted Transformations: White Co-ord

So my newest hobby that I have recently discovered is up-cycling clothing (It doesn't sound like the most thrilling thing but trust me it's amazing what you can do with an old shirt!) and I wanted to start featuring some of my creations on my blog. It is not only a cheap way of creating some unique pieces but it is nice having tailored clothes and it's more sustainable. I spent a few weeks learning how to sew (I hand sew everything so my projects take quite a long time) and I eventually started doing minor alterations to old clothes. I wanted to share this cute co-ord I made for my first post about transformations.

I bought a simple white bodycon dress from a local charity shop (For around £1?!) and since I have been wanting a new co-ord set, made this cute white one out of the material. It was simple to make and I am happy with how it turned out. I love the the subtle embroidery and I think it will be perfect for a spring night out!

Sunglasses // Primark
Jacket // TK Maxx
Boots // Primark

I regret not taking a before photo of the original dress just to show how I up-cycled it, I decided to pair my new co-ord with a simple pink bomber jacket, black boots and these quirky sunglasses that all the fashion bloggers seem to have! I plan to post more of the transformations I create and I want to see how creative I can get with it!

Have you ever tried up-cycling?
